Growing the female economy

Have you heard of Femeconomy?

They are an organisation committed to creating gender equality by growing the female economy. I love how they put it on their website…

OUR ABOUT US IS ABOUT YOU

You are the female economy.

Whether you are a female consumer, business owner or a woman in the workforce, you can create gender equality by choosing female led brands.

I am really proud to be part of Femeconomy’s community.

They make it easy for me as a consumer or customer to do my part in supporting gender equality by purchasing from businesses that have at least 30% of women on the Board of Directors or are 50% female owned.

They also provide me with the opportunity to put my business in front of others who want to support gender equality and who are seeking Purpose Strategy solutions and support.

Last week at the invitation of Femeconomy, I participated in a Virtual Roundtable event aimed at developing trade links between women owned businesses across Australia, Laos and Vietnam, through the “Creating Gender Equality Through Trading Opportunities” initiative. A project supported by the Australia-ASEAN Council and funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

This week they’ve featured an interview with me on their website. You can check it out here.

We talk about…

• Some of the big misconceptions around Purpose.

• Who are some of the leaders of the Purpose movement in Australia • What the pandemic has taught us about purpose in business • What I’m most proud of • Advice for future female leaders

I hope you enjoy it.

If something in the interview catches you asking yourself if you could be playing a bigger game in your business and using your business as a force for good… then I invite you to lean in to that thought. Instead of pushing it away “for later”, I invite you to just take one small step.

Book into a 45 minute strategy session with me. Let’s use that time to explore the potential. No commitment. No selly-sell! Just a cool conversation exploring the possibilities of meaningful Purpose for your business or brand.
